Light travels much faster than sound. One of the most classic examples is lightning. When lightning strikes, the first thing you see is a flash of lightning in the sky, while the sound of thunder is heard a few seconds later.
Kinetic energy is the energy possessed by an object in motion. Potential energy, on the other hand, is the energy that an object has because of its position or state. This is the main difference between kinetic energy and potential energy.
